Sailing Info

Although sailing in San Francisco Bay presents some of the greatest challenges to skippers from around the world, that is no cause for concern. The constant winds of San Francisco Bay, in the hands of an experienced captain, make for a peaceful experience. For the adventurous, sailing can also be exciting. We understand that sailing can be intimidating to some, so we plan accordingly, matching the type of sailing we do with our client's request. But, for those that want to have it come at them face first, a trip outside of the Golden Gate Bridge may do the trick.

The great thing about San Francisco is that the weather conditions are consistent on a daily basis. The classic on-shore wind patterns evolve from the heated land surrounding the Bay Area so waiting until the afternoon will give you the best sailing. The winds tend to pick up between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. after the sun has burned away the fog. This steady wind lasts all day, and usually through the sunset hours.

Use the following resources and information to forecast the weather, satisfy your curiosity, or just to keep an eye on the current sailing conditions. Straight up, on the rocks, or with a dash of lemon; however you take it, sailing is one of the best activities for any event. Join us for an adventure you will never forget. We look forward to seeing you soon.
