J/105

$69,500 Best Value on the Bay!

Liberty is a VERY well maintained 2001 J/105. The seller owned the boat since 2007 and loved her up. He never raced her, just sailed her as a performance daysailer. She's just had New bottom job at Berkeley Marine Center, complete rubout/polish/ on the hull, deck and cockpit. She has new main cover and wheel cover. Full interior polish including new teak holly floorboards built by the shipwright, Steve Hutchinson. Flawless quality. All the metal/plastic was polished and the engine was fully serviced by Chucks Marine in July. Over $15k maintenance spent in the past 6 weeks. She SPARKLES!

B&G Hydra 2000 (speed, depth, windspeed, windpoint) Raymarine plotter, stereo and VHF round out her electronics package.

J/105's are the largest one-design class in the Wests 4 major sailing areas because they represent the best bang for your racing buck.  Large skilled fleets offer unparralleled competition.  They are the reliable, fast and huge fun!

Many of our clients buy J/105's simply because they sail the Bay so very well.

If you're looking for a J/105 or any performance 35 footer you owe yourself to check out Liberty.  She's on our Sales Dock at Alameda's Ballena Bay.

She also has a spinnaker in a launching sock for fast cruising.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The J/105 is a family boat designed to satisfy the needs of Mom, Dad, the kids, and friends. With its outstanding performance in any wind/ sea condition, it can be lazily cruised under main alone for refreshing evening cruises or launch the large asymmetric spinnaker and reel off the miles on a long passage.

Additional Description
When your home is near the water, J/105 may be your ideal sailboat. Count up the number of nights spent sleeping aboard and compare that to the number of picnic sails when you would have liked a larger, more comfortable cockpit. J/105 is the answer. Her large cockpit combined with simple 4-5 berth week-ending layout results in two significant owner benefits: (1) A savings of $50,000 in little-used furniture, systems and cabinetry needed for extended cruising, and (2) A boat that's easier to handle, more comfortable in waves and more fun to sail for its size. J/105 has the stability, rig and sail controls to handle 15-20 knot winds without the need of reefing. It has the strength and seaworthiness for ocean going passages. Sailing World Magazine's panel of experts selected J/105 as Boat-of-the-Year among racer-cruisers in 1992. Since then, 250+ have been launched worldwide, fulfilling a variety of needs. In 1997-98 alone there are nearly 100 new J/105 owners and enthusiasm is building. An active owner's association and owner maintained web site helps you get the most from your boat. There are now local one-design starts across the country and in Europe with active fleets on the West Coast, Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario, The Solent, Chesapeake Bay, Charleston, Texas, Long Island Sound, Newport and Marblehead. Single handed sailors have raced and cruised to Bermuda; an older couple is enjoying cruising in Maine and winning the Monhegan Race after giving up their Alden 54; and America's Cup helmsman race for prize money around the country in a professional match racing circuit.
